Pool
A city hotel that understands its visitors stay with the intention of exploring its neighborhoods, the Hampton Inn does provide an indoor, basement level pool meant mainly to be a lap pool but happy to accommodate children during rainy days.
Harborplace & the Gallery
This waterfront shopping and dining area overlooks the Inner Harbor, where kids can explore a variety of waterfront attractions, as well as tour the harbor in a paddleboat. There is no hiding the sea dragon-shaped paddleboats floating along the Inner Harbor from your young ones, so walk on over the pier and take a 30-minute ride for yourself. Standard paddleboats are $11 for 30 minutes and four occupants, and rarely a wait. The dragons, however, are popular, so expect to wait for your dragon, $17 for 30 minutes and four occupants. Once in the water, paddle your way around the harbor between the USS Constellation and USS Torsk.
Historic Ships in Baltimore
For a relatively low fee, you and yours can board and explore the historic ships occupying Baltimore Harbor, including the wooden USS Constellation and USS Torsk submarine. Aboard the Civil War-era Constellation, the kids can receive sword-fighting lessons from costumed soldiers and watch the daily musket and cannon firings. Tickets include one to four ships, as well as the opportunity to explore the red, seven-foot Knoll Lighthouse.
