The hotel doesn't offer a restaurant or in-room dining services, however it does provide free continental breakfast in the lobber featuring fresh-made waffles, cereals, pastries, eggs and bacon. I found the hot breakfast items overcooked and not very appetizing, but you can't go wrong with boxed cereal and toast. The hotel also has a snack store that sells frozen meals that can be cooked in the in-room microwaves. A nearby 7-11 convenience store makes a good pit-stop for filling the fridge with drinks, snacks and microwavable meals for in-room dining. Otherwise, walk out the door and sample the area's numerous family-friendly restaurants.

Captain James Landing Restaurant, 2127 Boston Street, 410-327-8600
A family-style, ship-shaped seafood restaurant overlooking Baltimore Harbor, enjoy fresh-from-the-Chesapeake dishes, steaks, pastas and a selection of children's dishes. In the summer, sit outside and enjoy steamed crabs.

ESPN Zone, 601 East Pratt Street, 410-685-3776
The sports-themed restaurant is a prominent fixture on the Inner Harbor with indoor and outdoor seating and a traditional American menu of chicken, burger, steaks and sandwiches. Kids of all ages will enjoy playing the arcade games while waiting for their meal.

Fogo de Chao, 600 East Pratt Street, 410-528-9292
For good food in a unique atmosphere try the Argentinean-style steakhouse where gaucho waiters roam the restaurant with cuts of various beef for sampling. Eat until your full - or beyond - with decadent skewered meats, as well as an extensive salad bar.

Velleggia's, 110 Water Street, 410-986-4445
Just steps away from the hotel on an intimate cobblestone street is what the locals call the "Big V." The Italian restaurant has been serving to the likes of Baltimore's most famous, as well as Rat Packers Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, since 1937. Kids and parents can nosh on seafood and classic Italian dishes, as well as thin, foldable pizza. And if staying at one of the Inner Harbor hotels, you'll be happy to discover the Big V delivers -- just what we needed after a long day running around the harbor.
