We spent two nights at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Laurel, Mississippi. We were there for a wedding in the family. We had no trouble checking in, parking, or finding our room. We did have to use the front parking lot as they were redoing the back more +parking lot (on a Fri-Sun weekend?). There were five of us. We had a room with two queen beds, and the hotel brought in a roll-a-way bed. I thought it would be crowded, but it was not. The room was very big, with plenty of walking space. In fact, we could've probably fit three roll-a-way beds in this room. There was a desk fitted with wired or wireless internet, big flat screen tv, microwave, mini-fridge, and one-cup coffeemaker. The bathroom was decent-sized and had a furniture-like vanity with granite countertop and lower shelf. There was a digital clock radio on the nightstand, but the numbers were not lit. We pressed every button on it, but no lit numbers, so we had to look very closely at it while the room lights were on, or ignore it completely.

The complimentary breakfast was good. Offerings included cold cereal (3), instant oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, make-your-own Belgian waffles, pastries, bagels, muffins, and cubed potatoes on both mornings. One morning it had egg/cheese/bacon-topped biscuit halves, and the other morning it had white country gravy. Drinks were milk, apple and orange juice, instant hot chocolate, hot tea (bags), and coffee (regular or robust). It was as good as or better than other breakfasts we've had, and definitely better than the complimentary breakfasts we had in Orlando (not a Disney or Universal hotel). On the first morning the hotel office called at 11am and told us they were waiting on us to check out to move the vehicle so they could redo the parking lot. We told them we weren't supposed to check out until the next day so they asked us to move the vehicle, which we did. When we returned to the hotel that afternoon, we found that they had not been in the room at all. This did not bother us much, but we did have to call for more bath towels, which were available, but my husband had to go get the towels (and a spare toilet paper roll) himself. There was a heated indoor pool, which my kids took advantage of, and also a fitness room for guests.

Overall, we were satisfied with the stay, and if we traveled to Laurel again, would probably stay here again.
