Great Hotel!! HIghly recommend!

The hotel staff was very friendly and eager to please. The décor was inviting and perfect for the area. My room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet had a wonderful selection that would suite almost anyone's taste.

Stay away from the hot tub

by 1976beachlover

Check in was fast and easy. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a hot tub along with the pool. We booked this hotel because of the pool for our 7 year old daughter. After checking out the room, we went down to the pool/hot tub area for a swim/soak. I noticed something floating around in the hot tub so I used a skimmer to take out the debris. I was mortified by what looked like vomit floating around. There was a good amount sticking to the tiles. I notified the front desk person and she immediately came and agreed that it was not usable. She did tell me that the cleaning person did clean it that morning since there was a party over the weekend. She put up a “do not use sign” and apologized for the inconvenience. The next day, we went back and noticed the sign still there. I went to the front desk and inquired when the hot tub would bE cleaned and ready. The front desk person went to get someone in the back office and he told me that he forgot to remove the sign. He told me that They drained the water in the hot tub so everything should be fine - they were just waiting for the water to heat up. He went with me to remove the sign and check the chlorine level and assured me everything was all set. I took a close look at the hot tub and noticed the “gunk” from the day before was still on the tiles. I took a towel and easily cleaned off the tiles - the stuff that came off looked like the same gunk that was floating around in the pool the day before. So, they drained the hot tub but did not clean it! I did not complain again, just avoided using the hot tub.
The room was updated nicely, however, there is a strong odor of deodorizing spray. Whenever I smell a deodorizer, I wonder what is being covered up! It was so strong that it was difficult to sleep.
I was happy to learn that breakfast is included in the price of the room. They had a pretty good spread in the morning, starting at 6am. Cereals, eggs, waffles, smoothies, bagels, pastries, fruit etc. everything was fresh and we were happy with the selection.
Due to the hot tub cleanliness and the room smell, I would not stay in this hotel again.
