Reviews

Clean, economical. Comfortable

Nice staff, clean hotel and fair prices. Very clean gathering areas and dining room. Hotel off the freeway a bit but worth the few extra miles. Breakfast was good— not great. Right across the street from Cracker Barrel.

Overall, Subpar When Judged by Hampton Inn Standards

First, the good: Registration desk staff members were friendly, welcoming and proficient in their jobs. The breakfast was consistent with Hampton Inn offerings nationwide. The mattress was comfortable. The property is conveniently located.

Second, the not so good: The property is older than most Hampton Inns and not withstanding some efforts to update the property is not up to Hilton standards--as an example, the wallpaper is peeling in the hallway. Our toilet ran and ran and wasted a large quantity of water. The sound proofing leaves much to be desired--we had a room with a door to the adjacent room. Either there is little sound proofing between rooms or the men in the adjacent room were shouting at each other for much of the night we stayed. The housekeeper did not complete making our bed--the fitted sheet was not pulled down. Consequently, my wife and I had to remake the bed. And then, in the morning we discovered that the housekeeper did not leave any shampoo--only two bottles of conditioner.

My wife and I will continue to stay at Hampton Inns--as we have for well over 100 nights in the last few years. However, we will not be staying at this specific Hampton Inn. There are better options--even in the immediate vicinity.
