About Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Universal
Not the nearest to Universal by any means (but there is a free shuttle bus) the Hawthorne Suites makes up for that with budget-friendly rates and lots of family amenities. You'll get a free hot breakfast in the morning, and free drinks and snacks in the evenings, Monday through Thursday. There is an outdoor heated pool, along with an arcade. Rooms are on the small side and are showing their age, but suites work well for families planning to stay while, as they have a separate living room with a sleeper sofa, a dining area, and a kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, two burner stove, coffeemaker, toaster, dinnerware and cookware. There is also a basketball court, and access to outdoor barbeques.
