Try to upsell during checking 35$ per night compared with hotel quality , I don’t think it will worth it ,

2 Star Hotel

I travel a lot for work, somewhere between 30-60 days a year. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.

My work added a note about needing a dust and allergen free room and I called a few days in advance to confirm it. I get there and they don’t have an allergen-free room for me but offer to just take the down pillows out. So I wait for them to do that…but in the room there are small feathers floating around and they aren’t good at housekeeping so the room is filled with dust. It was all over the night stands and in the vents in the bathroom - I was sick for days - sore throat and swollen eyes. I couldn’t wait to leave the room and basically didn’t sleep for 2 days. The Marriott has an allergen-free floor in some of their bigger hotels, I’m going back to them.

Also, they added me to their marketing texts WITHOUT my permission. So someone named “Maria” texted me before the visit about upgrading my room for an extra free and during my hotel stay. I asked her and the front desk a total of 5 times to remove me and they wouldn’t, I kept getting the texts from them while I was in my work meetings.

I will never stay at a Hilton again, it was a miserable few days.
