Wonderful views- Hilton standard

by TownsendTravels

We stayed four nights and ate in the restaurant every night because the days were too long to consider going out. Oscar and the waitstaff at the restaurant were outstanding. We should be so lucky to get this type of service in prime Chicago restaurants....thank you Oscar and Hector ( ?....started with letter H) for everything.

The room was standard Hilton. Front desk was professional but not exceptionally warm. Laundry fees were highway robbery when you consider the local economy.
Hot water took forever- we were told to run it for five minutes and they would call back to see if it was hot yet. Really seemed wasteful.
Room carpet could use some sudsing...
Room fridge didn’t work.

Room was supplied with two bottles water daily which was nice. Oxygen available if needed. All the usual upscale services were offered. Very nice Observatory room with padded chairs and floor to ceiling windows on 3rd floor.

Summary: view and restaurant wait staff top notch. The rest, kind of average for the price. We paid $149/ night with taxes etc.

Stayed here waiting for my tour to Machu Picchu. great welcoming and expedient check in. The lunch at the restaurant was perfect and the breakfast in the morning was superb. Staff was very attentive especially when you need a kick of oxygen to combat your first night at 12000 feet . Overall outstanding experience.
