I stayed for a week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu. The hotel and room was clean and comfortable. There were 7 towers and we stayed in the Rainbow tower and had a nice balcony and amazing oceanfront view.

Things we more +loved about this hotel:
- the shopping bizarre with the ABC store right across the street had a good assortment of different types of foods, most of which were reasonably priced
- the live band playing at the hotel bar that I could hear from my balcony in the evenings
- the fireworks show on Fri evening

Things that were disappointing about this hotel:
- food prices are high, but that is too be expected, I am spoiled by the all inclusives!
- Pool chairs were hard to get and there aren't any umbrellas or shady areas
- Beach chairs and umbrellas are for rent only at $15/chair and $35/umbrella which made it cost prohibitive to sit at the beach
- No shuttle to/from airport
- No kids/teen club with Wii and games and a counselor for the kids to hang out with and meet other friends

Overall, we enjoyed the vacation but felt we would have enjoyed two weeks in Mexico or on a cruise (both we've done before) for the same money and the scenery sacrifice would be minimal.

The location of the hotel was right in the middle of Waikiki which was very convenient since we opted not to rent a car. The hotel was well maintained with lots of activities for the entire family. The Hilton Hawaiian Village has it's own beach more +access along with multiple pools in different areas of the resort. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the accommodations were very nice. I was pleased with my stay and I would recommend this hotel to others.

This resort really rocks for kids and families. There were so many things to do. They have beautiful gardens with wildlife, even a pond of penguins. Amazing. The resort is on 22 acres on Waikiki Beach. There is nothing like it in Waikiki. We loved more +it so much and the kids had so much fun. You never have to leave that place because the beach is so wide and uncrowded. The pools are fun and they have waterslides. There is a huge lagoon that you can play in and rent kayaks and standup paddle boards.

The best thing ever is the kids program. It is called Camp Penguin and it is so cool. The kids wanted to go back everyday. They went on some neat excursions in Honolulu. They had fun and we could go shopping and do things that the kids might consider boring. My kids learned so much about Hawaii from that program. It was amazing. We love the Hilton Hawaiian Village and would definitely go back again. For sure!!
