Quiet In the City

by All50Eventually

We stayed for just one night. The parking lot was being repaved, so moving around within the parking lot was a little interesting. It was not very busy and there was still ample parking. Check-in went smoothly. We were offered a free upgrade to a suite.

The room was quiet. I never heard a noise in the hall or from any other room. The beds were comfortable and it was nice being able to sit on a couch to watch a little TV instead of sitting up in bed. The room was fairly clean, except the carpet needed a really good vacuuming. There was pizza behind the door. We assumed housekeeping kept the door open while vacuuming and just missed it. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and functioned as they should. The HVAC was less than ideal (it was in the upper 90s during the day). We were able to set the thermostat down to 65, but it stayed 75 all except during the middle of the night when we woke up shivering. I don't know if it just couldn't keep up because it was so hot during the day, or if it was just that inefficient.

We enjoyed the heated swimming pool and whirlpool. Both were relaxing at the end of our day. They both need a deep cleaning. The water is evidently iron rich and there was rust discoloration around the jets and intakes. The exercise room had ample equipment for our family.

We did not eat at the restaurant.

Don't stay here

The staff don't listen. The housekeepers don't speak English. The onsite restaurant is a joke. You'd be better off at motel6 where you expect crappy service. The only redeeming thing is it was quiet. Otherwise find somewhere else.
