About Holiday Inn Topeka

Located within minutes of the State Capitol and all it has to offer, the Holiday Inn Topeka specializes in catering to conferences and special events, but it can also be a good choice for families looking for an economical, comfortable and conveniently located hotel.

Family-friendly amenities include: connecting rooms (request at time of reservation), Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, microwave ovens, mini refrigerators, complimentary cribs, rollaway beds (for a small fee), onsite guest laundry facilities, a heated indoor pool and hot tub, and a free hot breakfast buffet, plus kids eat free. Don't forget to bring along your swimsuits, as kids will definitely want to try the three-story turbo-twister waterslide that lands them in the indoor pool. (The waterslide is open select hours on the weekends and kids must be taller than 48 inches to use the slide.)

Standard guestrooms can accommodate up to four guests; All guestrooms are equipped with either one king-sized bed and sofa sleeper or two queen-sized beds. For larger families or adult privacy, request connecting rooms.

In addition to The Pantry, a casual eatery serving free breakfast, there's also the Landmark Grill restaurant where you can enjoy a full dinner.

Nearby you'll find Gage Park (including gardens, playgrounds, a mini train and carousel), the Topeka Zoo, the Kansas Children's Discovery Center, the Kansas Museum of History, the Brown vs. Board of Education National Historic Site, the Combat Air Museum, Hummer Sports Park (an amusement and recreation park), Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center, and Rees Fruit Farm. Children may also enjoy making a candle at Marion Lane Candles, walking to the top of the newly renovated capitol building, and sampling chocolates from Hazelhill, a chocolate shop in the downtown area.

The hotel had a great pool and water-slide. The pool water was refreshing, yet warm. They had a game room that actually had games that worked. Breakfast was amazing, more than I have ever had in a ... more +
