Reviews

good for long stay

by dawns04966

The hotel is located on the north side of CO Springs - great for access to the Air Force Academy and right across the street from a higher end shopping center (The Promenade Shops at Briargate), not as convenient for Carson or other Air Force Bases in the area if this is your destination. They have a fabulous breakfast and offer light dinner and wine/beer (free) Monday - Thursday evening which is a really nice gesture. Pool in the summer, adequate laundry facilities (for a fee), and a small exercise room (1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, and 1 bike, small set of free weights, and a couple mats). It is great to have a small/full kitchen for longer stays - really makes hotel living much more bearable. Staff was not friendly and thankfully did not have to interact with them much (front desk and breakfast service). My biggest "complaint" is the challenge with having a pet. Charged $50 pet fee, yet getting my room serviced seemed like I was putting the staff out. I was there for 10 days and only had my room cleaned twice - once the head of the cleaning service was kind enough to clean it himself (and did a nice job), the second time nothing was done except to change the towels. Linens were not changed, no kitchen or bath soaps or amenities were replaced, and the room certainly was not dusted or vacuumed. Disappointing. Overall a good place to stay for a longer stay (room size and location) however, I would not recommend for pet owners or those who would like the support of a hospitable hotel staff.

Awesome Deal!

We enjoyed our stay at the Homewood Suites. We have a large family and it easily accommodated the 6 of us. The food was excellent for breakfast and the afternoon snack was a full meal for free! Definitely would stay here again!
