Friends 25 year anniversary

by Steven D

First I would like to start off by saying the food was good, all the Alla cart restaurants were very good. Only a few complaints 1st the hallway to our room was never mopped since I was there, our room was very nice not always mopped but swept everyday. 2nd they bar service was never consistent order a drink get one 10 minutes later and it tastes completely different. 3rd is we could not book the alla carts in the morning you had to line up on a first come first served basis, so if you weren't in time you had to eat at the buffet which was okay but not romantic. 4th no beach bar close by. 5th we had a late flight so I tried to get a courtesy room 100.00 charge so when I spoke to my spouse and agreed about it whent back 15min later they were all taken, it would have been nice to know they only had 15 rooms and it was first come basis.

Lovely 80th birthday vacay

by Kim G

We stayed at the Riu Paradise Island from Oct 24-31/19. We were there for my Mom’s 80th birthday and we were a group of 12. This was my first time in the Bahamas.
The hotel is in an excellant location and the beaches and water are the most amazing that I have ever seen, exactly like you see in the pictures.
The food is exceptional. We were a little concerned about not being able to book the steakhouse for my Mom’s birthday, as you cannot prebook. You line up and hope that you get a spot.
We talked to Rosco, he is in charge, and he told us not to worry and come down for about 7:30 and he would make sure we had our table for 12. He was true to is word and it was simply amazing. The staff went above and beyond our expectations.
The rooms are clean and well stocked.
The pool area was small, but you were always able to get a chair, either in the sun or under the shade.
The staff were by far the best of any resort we have been to, especially the entertainment staff, always engaging you in activities and man do they work hard.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be back for sure.
