Hyatt has a long history of providing family-friendly amenities like pools and free breakfast; the chain continues develop new and unique activities and extras for kids -- particularly at their 18 resorts. Camp Hyatt, their supervised kids' program for children, ages 3 through 12, is offered at many of the resort locations. Kids can participate in some pretty creative activities like adobe-making in Scottsdale, dolphin-watching in Florida or making petroglyphs in Hawaii. Camp Hyatt is partnered with National Geographic Kids, so you'll find plenty of eco-centered activities that focus on wildlife preservation and the importance recycling. Camp Hyatt times and costs vary by location, but it is not a free service. At many Hyatt resorts, there are special activities -- like surfing in Hawaii and California and horseback-riding in Arizona and Orlando -- just for teens.
Families can also make use of Hyatt's Cranium game libraries, where they can choose from a variety of educational games to borrow. Parents of older children will appreciate 50 percent off a second room, based on availability. For parents of little ones, Hyatt also has a partnership with Babies Travel Lite, which enables you to order items like diapers, formula and food ahead of time online, and they'll be waiting for you upon arrival. Hyatt also frequently offers discounts and programs for families.
