Good room, breakfast is rough

by alrutt

The staff, including Christian at check-in, were all wonderful. Super kind and attentive all around. The room was nice but for a total of $400+ on a weekday, it’s on the small side. (Maybe $400 doesn’t get you much in DC.) My main issue was the breakfast which was kind of a nightmare. The dining area was so packed that families were circling with their food looking for tables. When a table would turnover it was usually pretty dirty because the staff, though working hard, couldn’t get around in time to clean them off. The food was also subpar. Eggs were cold, the bacon was awful and the coffee was disappointing. There were just too many people for them to handle. I would consider coming back but only at a time when there would hopefully be fewer people staying at the hotel.

Awesome hotel

We stayed at the Hyatt place in dc for a weekend getaway. We arrived really late and were welcomed with kind smiles and an amazing suite upgrade. It had floor to ceiling windows and was a mid-mod dream. It had a lovely kitchen and a great bathroom. The staff was so great that we would return even for a standard room. Clean room and comfortable bed.
