This is going to be the most mixed review I've ever written for anything in my life.

Drunk, smoking teens at the end (they're 'The Bad').

The Good: The Hyatt Aruba is a gorgeous property. It is the nicest property in more +Aruba (although a soon to be completed Ritz will challenge that). It's on the best part of Palm Beach. If you're comparing it to the Marriott, I'd say the Hyatt's stretch of beach is far superior and the properties are visibly similar. The food was what you'd expect from a nice island property. Overpriced, but good. We chalk that up as part of the vacation. The watersports are all over the beach and tons of fun. Also, they guaranteed connecting rooms and delivered.

The Bad: The drinking age is 18, which apparently translates to 12 in island years. We went over Spring Break, thinking Aruba is by no means Cancun. It wasn't as insane as Cancun, but there were enough drunk teens smoking all over the property that we were adequately annoyed. Seriously, these were kids. High school kids at most. Anyway, they did as you'd expect. Running up and down hallways at 4am. One was nice enough to drop trough and hang his glaringly white rear end out of a car window to the amusement of my kids, albeit coupled with confusion. Profanity. The kinds of jokes someone makes when they first learn a bad word but are not *exactly* sure how to use it.

Summary: Great looking hotel, people that are not super friendly but nice, good food, overpriced by normal standards, fairly priced by island standards, shameful in enforcing a drinking age (not to dwell on it but these kids were lounging like little P-Diddys with coronas and stogies all over the place). Will not return.
