Great Stay

by CMac1029

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. We loved the location right on the Riverwalk and within walking distance to the Alamo and many restaurants. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Our queen room was on the 11th floor and was clean and spacious. We experienced no noise and slept comfortably. I liked that there was sufficient closet and drawer space for our clothes. I also liked that there was a mini-fridge where we could store our bottled water and soft drinks. The shower wasn’t as powerful as I would have liked, but the water was always warm. Our room was cleaned to s high standard every day. Even though we were on the top floor we never had to wait too long for an elevator.

Valet parking is expensive at $46 per day, but we knew that going in and were ok with it. We only had the rental car for 2 days and it was delivered to us very promptly when we were leaving each morning. It was convenient being able to drop it off each evening and just walk into the hotel.

We ate twice in the bar restaurant just for convenience and it was just ok. My steak one night had to be sent back because it was more medium rare than the requested medium well. The second steak wasn’t much better and I left most of it behind. I couldn’t believe they couldn’t cook it to temperature either time. For what they charge it was very disappointing.

Apart from the disappointing meal we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stat again.

My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency was one of the very best experiences in recent times. The entire staff, the food and beverages served in great abundance, can be matched with none other..just great!
