Iberostar was the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed visited. The grounds are gorgeous, the buildings are well maintained. The animals are well cared for. The maintenance is on top of even the smallest details. I have recommended this more +resort to everybody that has stated an interest in visiting this region of Mexico as well as anybody that is planning on getting married. I would go back to this resort over and over and never tire of its beauty and convenience. 5 stars off the chart.

My daughter & I stayed at the Iberostar Toucan in Riviera Maya a few yrs. ago.

It was a beautiful all inclusive resort with a great mix of families & non-families.

If we went again we'd probably go back to that more +resort.

The food was good & varied; the service was good & the people were very friendly.

Many people we talked to had stayed there 1, 2, or more times before.

There are lots of close excursions; the fabulous beach, pools, eco-parks like Xcaret & Xel-Ha.

Oh, also at night they had free shows. The 1st one was always appropriate for kids & family. The 2nd a little more mature but nothing objectionable. My daughter loved the shows & kids got up & danced & joined the show.

Families would like this resort! My daughter made friends from all over U.S., Canada & England.

Stayed at one of the Iberostar Resorts in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico over the New Year's Eve week. The resort is clean and beautiful, although the floor of the room was sandy and dirty upon arrival but they expediently mopped it up upon request. The more +food was good, all inclusive. They had a kids camp which would have been good except on the last day of our stay, while my daughter was changing into her swimsuit in the camp bathroom because the group was scheduled to go swimming, they left her behind. They knew she was in there. She came out of the bathroom and no one was there. The grounds are huge. She got lost (age 6) and started crying wandering the resort looking for me. A couple who were guests found saw her crying and helped her find me by the pool, luckily I was there. My husband went to the camp about an hour later and just to see what they would say said, ""I'm here to pick up my daughter": And the counselors said "her mother came to pick her up already." THEY LIED! There is a sign out sheet and of course my signature wasn't on there. Also, there were only 3 kids including my daughter that day so it's not like they lost track! We complained to management and then upper management only to be offered an "upgrade" upon our next trip. THERE IS NO WAY WE ARE RETURNING, so how does that benefit us? Probably nothing could do would have pleased us but it would have felt a little better if they refunded some money to us. It ruined the end of a decent time. How scary for a little girl.
