'Aha'aina Luau
Every Wednesday and Friday evening, Kona Village offers guests a dramatic luau feast honoring old Hawaiian dance traditions. Wednesday's luau showcases both Hawaii's modern and ancient styles of dance. Friday's luau brings the essence of the South Pacific alive, featuring Tahiti, New Zealand, Fiji and Maori dance.
You'll be greeted with a fresh-flower lei, offered a Hawaiian cocktail and eat at a communal table. The feast includes kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, crab legs, fresh fish, steak, shrimp and desserts. Arrive early for the best choice of seats.
Hale Moana
One reason (of many) that guests come back to Kona Village year after year is the food. It's awesome eating. Hale Moana provides Kona Village guests with outstanding meals -- breakfast, lunch and dinner --before the majestic Pacific. Breakfast buffets include classic morning favorites, but guests can also order from an a la carte menu. For lunch, the grill is turned on. Guests enjoy an open-air buffet of seafood, daily specials and, of course, grilled fish, hot dogs and burgers. At dinner, guests can choose from a Hawaiian/Asian-inspired menu with fresh seafood, meats, salads, sides and incredible desserts.
Hale Samoa
Hale Samoa is, by far, the more chic dining area in the resort and isn't often visited by kids. Adults can eat indoors on under a blanket of stars. The Executive Chef Mark Tsuchiyama is known for creating French Polynesian cuisine for today's modern, sophisticated diner. Depending on the hale category you choose, a surcharge may apply to dining at this fine restaurant.
Paniolo Night BBQ
Every Tuesday evening, Kona Village celebrates "Paniolo Night," to honor Hawaiian cowboys with great eating and lively entertainment. The menu includes grilled steak, chicken, fish, beans slow-cooked over an open fire, corn on the cob, salads, desserts and for a nominal extra fee, fresh Keahole grilled lobster.
Music is provided by Hawaii's unique slack-key guitar. Paniolo are on hand to "talk story" with guests, answer questions and share knowledge and lore about their intriguing lifestyle.
Sunday Brunch
Sunday brunch is a wonderful dining experience that includes an elaborate pancake bar with 40 different toppings, prime rib, steamed seafood, salads, fine desserts, good Kona coffee and so much more, all enhanced by the stunning Kahuwai Bay view. Sunday Brunch will never look the same again.
