La Quinta hotels are for people on a budget. There are no programs for the kids or adults. They do offer a breakfast which differs at locations. They also have a pool and workout room and free use of internet computers or you can access the internet more +for free from your room.

I booked a few days at La Quinta in Seacacus, New Jersey last year. I do get a discounted rate from my job so I always stay at La Quinta. I'm not looking for a "fancy or luxury" hotel only because I'm not really staying in the room too much. I like to get out and drag my boys with me to explore the city I'm in. I also stayed in Seacacus because the hotel was much cheaper then staying in NYC.

This hotel is 4mi. from NYC and has a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The bus takes you over to NYC. I thought that was great because I had read that you shouldn't drive around in NYC because of traffic.

As soon as we got into the lobby, the staff was great and very informative. They made me feel welcomed. They asked where I was from and I told them Texas, so that became my nick-name whenever they saw me in the lobby. The hotel has 7 floors and I didn't really ask for a special floor to stay on. They placed me on the 7th floor. I sure was glad they did because it has great views! I could see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building from my window!

I was impressed by the room also. There was a separate room which had a queen size bed in it and a closet and a huge window. The bathroom was off of this room. Then there was a small "living room" off of the bedroom, which included a tv, small fridge and a coffee table and a small table to sit at and a couch that pulled out into a bed. If you have every stayed at La Quinta then you know that their rooms are just a big room with a bed and tv and table with a chair unless you are staying in the suites.

The breakfast was huge! Lots of fruits to choose from. They also had eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, bagels, bread to toast if you want, yogurts, cereals, oatmeal and they had juices and milk.

The bus from the hotel to NYC ran from early morning to very late at night. That was great that we didn't have to walk to far to catch the bus, just right across the street. Even though the bus was expensive, $16 for me and my two boys. It was worth it for someone else to drive us into the city.

I would stay at this hotel again and I'd recommend it to family and friends. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were presentable, no bugs around, the staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast was great, and it was quiet.
