Overview

The Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, formerly the Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Resort, has the vibe of a luxury hotel without the steep price. When you arrive at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, you’ll notice that you’re literally across the street from Lake Tahoe and just seconds from casinos, high-end shopping at Heavenly Village, the ride of a lifetime on the Heavenly Gondola and world-class skiing. Even a Raley’s is a mere two blocks away. (Raley’s is the go-to super center for groceries, sunscreen and more.)

This resort has a large indoor pool. This location also boasts a spacious outdoor deck, an indoor hot tub and a small but well-equipped fitness room that overlooks the pool makes the stay feel luxurious. Sore skiers will love that the pool area also sports a sauna.

The ski concierge also makes life easy for winter guests by offering an abundance of knowledge about ski schools, ski resort locations, ability levels, terrain, lift tickets, on-mountain dining, secret spots and so much more. Stash your equipment with the ski and snowboard check-in folks, and head for the steam room and the Manager’s Reception.

The guestrooms are two-room suites with small kitchenettes, great cable (including HBO) on two flat-screen TVs and dark closets, perfect for keeping small boys with flashlights occupied for hours. Free Wi-Fi is offered in all accommodations.

Families will love the free, full, cooked-to-order breakfast, which allows kids to chow on pancakes, omelets, muffins and more. In the evenings, the “Manager’s Reception” is offered. You can sip margaritas, coconut rum and coke or even glasses of wine, all of which you can pair with appetizers.

Don’t ever stay in this filthy, overpriced place that tried to scam with double parking fees ($54 instead of $27).

I would give this place no star if I could. Dirty towels, slower than dialup internet, murky hot tub with tons of bleach, cold ‘heated pool’, yucky cold breakfast with powder eggs that changes you $5 for two fried eggs/omelet. 'Happy hour' is a joke as they only give you chips/soda/coffee and you have pay for ‘discounted drinks’. My child puked right after he had the stale chips. They were doubling charging me for parking ($54 instead of $27) and didn’t say a word until I confronted them. You can’t use their luggage cart on your own so unless you are willing to drag all your luggage from another parking place to the hotel. The knob for the shower fell off when you touched it, and there was no hot water until the guy came and fix it. I booked direct on-site and still, there were no extra pillows that I requested when I showed up. The ones there were tiny and I asked the bell boy to get me extras, and that didn’t happen and I had to call 3 more times before I got 3 real pillows (took 1.5 hours). The air conditioner was super loud and it was located outside of the bedroom. The bed is so worn out and the whole place feels like a funeral home. Don't stay here as one night stay here will cost you $200 with all the taxes and fees even if it was 30% off the 'regular rate'. There is a 5-day advanced cancellation requirement so I was stuck with this place when I booked on Wed. I complained to the front desk about all these issues and they were like 'well sorry'.

Hotel needs more cleaning, customer service not really good! Hotel is kind of expensive for not having a good service. Location is great, don’t really recommend this hotel though, is expensive not what expected and bad service in general!
