Super Hotel

by RealReviewer99

Stayed in the Lenox for 5 nights. Beautiful hotel.
Clean, comfortable, great atmosphere and excellent staff. Michael on the front desk, all the waiters in the restaurant, we had breakfast each morning which was excellent and the service top class. Just a great hotel which made our trip to Boston even better!

Great Location

I give the Lenox a 4 basically because I could hear everyone in the hallway who were talking while waiting for the elevator or getting ice. Also I did not find the service to be exceptional; there seemed to be quite a few doormen/bellhops but they usually were talking amongst themselves and rarely spoke as we came and went.

Anyway, the hotel is in a great location adnd even closer to the Copley T stop than I realized. I am not sure that many rooms have views other than the ones that front Boylston and the first ones back on the sides. We actually had one of these rooms and had a great view of the Finish line of the Marathon (it's cool how the Finish line is painted in the street year-round). We had a King Bed and there was a huge tv and walk-in closet. Walk-path between foot of the bed and the desk was very tight (more length to the room than functional width) Bathroom lighting was EXTREMELY dim.

The hotel pipes in a scent in the lobby and restaurant areas. It's not unpleasant, but if you are sensitive, keep it in mind because it was really strong.

We did not eat at the restaurant but we did order drinks one night. The separate bar was full, so we went to the restaurant's bar. I wasn't impressed with the $15 cocktails.

Basically, the hotel is in a prime location so I imagine finding nights when the rates are down is tough to do. I would stay here again even with the lackluster greetings.
