Overview

One of the more budget-oriented options in the area, Limelight is a classic ski lodge in Aspen, situated in Wagner Park. Its location is close to downtown hot spots and skiing on Aspen Mountain. The downtown area offers local music, art and dining options. The mountain presents champagne powder and miles of ski terrain. An onsite ski school is taught by top professional skiers two days per week. Additionally, the Limelight offers complimentary programs like its Inside Tracks, an all-day tour of one of the four local mountains, and First Tracks, early access to Aspen Mountain; both are free to guests.

Nearby, families can also go on a dogsled ride. Summer activities are hiking, biking and river rafting. The resort’s rooftop terraces are popular, offering gorgeous views of the land and comfy couches to lounge in while enjoying the view. An outdoor pool and hot tubs are open seasonally from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. To get a jump start on the day, guests partake in a hearty breakfast that contains house-made cereals, yogurt, baked pastries and more. It is served in the Living Room at 7 a.m.

Spacious guestrooms received a facelift in 2014, which included new carpeting, furniture and drapery. All 126 rooms also contain vaulted ceilings, marble floors and oversized windows, too. Sumptuous bathrobes hang in the doorways. Two-bedroom suites also feature full kitchens, dining rooms and outdoor terraces. Fireplaces are also available and all rooms contain movies, games and DVD players for rent. Recognizing the woodsy terrain is a dog’s dream, too, Limelight welcomes pets for a small cleaning fee.

Limelight offers airport transfers from Aspen Airport. Be sure to request this service when booking your reservation.

Good hotel

by Mike I

It's modern, nicely decorated inside, the room was big, same as the bathroom. The pillows were not comfortable. We found parking outside but it was off busy season; they also have indoor parking available, for extra cost. The breakfast was pretty good, better than what the main hotel brands offer. It's conveniently located in the downtown, very close to the shopping area. Service was also good. Only 2 stars, because when I called a day before to ask about the weather, the receptionist didn't mention anything about Indie pass being closed. She or the manager, could've thought about that to have a warning message, as most visitors are not locals and don't even know what's that... Think proactively, if you care about the customers!

Aspen delight

Everything about Aspen is amazing...including this hotel. Right on the edge of all the stores and it has amazing views. The staff is friendly and the restaraunt is delicious.
Great location and so comfortable and clean. I highly recommend
