The Lions Dive and Beach Resort Curacao offers families 132 guestrooms and suites, with king and queen beds, kitchenettes, mini-fridges, Internet access (for a fee) and ocean views. Resort activities include the beach, water sports, a swimming pool and instructional dives. Known for their scuba excursions, families should get certified before their visit to the resort and take part in a dive into the clear blue Caribbean water. Reviews

Great Location, nice staff, excellent diving

by MC_Bos

Stayed here recently on a vacation. Was traveling with a friend who is a big diver (I'm not), and she dived in the mornings, and then we would do other things around the island in the afternoon.

The property has a fantastic dive shop, right on site, and is also located right next to Mambo beach with some good shopping, a useful convenience store, and many restaurants. My friend said the dive shop was absolutely top-notch both from a safety and efficiency perspective. We used them one afternoon for a joint snorkeling/diving trip and I also found it terrific.

The rooms have some nice features, including coffee makers (albeit, mine kept breaking), many have views of the ocean, and great water pressure in the shower. I have to say that I did not find the beds particularly comfortable, but your mileage may vary.

The property has some good eating options; the breakfast buffet is good; and the twice-daily shuttle into the historic area of Willemstad is really handy. There is also a great swimming area that is well protected by a breakwater.

If you're sensitive to noise you might want to ask for a room away from the Mambo beach area as some noise does travel at night.

This is not a luxury resort, but it is very comfortable, with very nice and efficient staff. Definitely recommend it
