Overview

Situated atop a scenic hill, The Lodges at Gettysburg offers ideal accommodations for large groups. Families retreat to spacious cabins with rustic decor, and appreciate the conveniences of kitchenettes (or full kitchens in some units) and free Wi-Fi. The Captain’s Lodge and General’s Lodge sleep two to four guests, while the Presidential and Leiutenant’s Lodges can accommodate six. North and South Lodges sleep up to eight in three king or queen beds (each in separate rooms), plus a sleeper sofa. Note: Not all units provide bathtubs; inquire when booking if this is important to your family. Most units provide fireplaces and small patios with fantastic views.

Added perks include complimentary, continental breakfast and a lake, where organized games are occasionally hosted. The resort also features a spa and ballroom — it’s extremely popular for weddings.

Really nice place to stay

by marylour999

On a recent trip to Gettysburg we stayed at the Lodges. Very spacious room, with living room, kitchenette and large bedroom and bath. They are freestanding cottages which is nice and grounds are a nice place to walk. There was a “lock off” room off of where we stayed so it could probably hold 8 or more people. It has a place for breakfast but had a limited menu. Would go back.

Quiet perfection

by RetiredMilitary

Scenic and quiet place to relax. Warm and gracious staff--very helpful in every aspect. Cabins are clean and well maintained for their age. Plan on creaky hard wood floors and not much insulation between rooms. However, they also have all the modern comforts like HDTV, minifridge, microwave, USB charging station, and free WiFi. Parking is plentiful and free. In the evening, the bar/grill has pub food, but there's not much else to eat at this property--but Gettysburg is only 10 minutes away, so really no problem unless you are really lazy. Views are worth a million, and the solitude can't be beat. Best part: seeing the stars at night without any city lights. The best.
