The hotel is quite expensive but we stayed one night in order to get the express passes for two days at Universal. The room furnishing were very nice though the size was about average. We all enjoyed the pool and the hot tubs. My son liked the ping more +pong and pool tables. The boat ride to Universal was nice though sometimes there was quite a wait so we walked. Once we took a bike taxi back which was quick though we did have to pay a little for it.

We loved our stay at the Loew's Royal Pacific. The food was fantastic. The ferry to Universal was fun or the walk wasn't bad as there is a nice path. The fastpass we received for staying at a Universal property made the entire thing worthwhile. The more +pool was nice with lots of water cannon type things. There were a few lizards...one less after a newly made friend's sister stepped on it. Bottom line: there was an abundance of quesadilla and cuban sandwich eating mixed in with swimming and theme parks. The Blue Man Group was worthwhile albeit pricey.

The convenient location and the ability of hotel guests to skip the lines at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure lured us to our stay at Loew's Royal Pacific Hotel. Upon arrival we were graciously greeted and encouraged to upgrade our room more +with two queen beds to a suite for an additional $100 per night, which included a second room containing a sofabed. (suites only available with a king bed) Thank goodness we did! I don't know how we would have fit into the tiny hotel room, otherwise. The sofabed was so uncomfortable that our 3 daughters aged 5, 8 & 10 argued over who got to sleep in the roll-away, which was an additional $25 per night. The room also had an musty odor and we all left at the end of our weekend with nasal congestion, leading me to believe that mold issues exist in the room.

While the hotel was beautiful and staffed with wonderful attentive employees, the room was quite basic, very small and really expensive. The pool was great and the theme parks were wonderful which made for a great trip. But, it was quite disappointing to spend so much and get so little, as far as the room was concerned.

When we arrived a "bellboy" brought a luggage cart up, loaded our luggage and took it to the lobby. Check in was a breeze. The bellboy; took our luggage up to the room. Prior to doing that he gave us a little tour of the place. The more +room was gorgeous. We are Loews First Members and we received a welcoming gift that contained a huge assortment of chocolate bars, a sarong wrap and a Pacific themed wooden ornament.

We did have a couple problems with a wet carpet (air conditioner malfunctioned and a chambermaid who didn't replenish anything for two days, but nothing that we couldn't live with). Star Services is absolutely great for any problems, items you need, etc.

I used the concierge a couple of times for inquires and to print our boarding passes for our return flight and they were absolutely great - very helpful and very friendly.

We had the buffet breakfast at Islands Dining Room and it was fabulous. They also had a character dinner but the timing never worked out for us.

The pool is huge with zero entry at one end. There is a kid's play area with water squirters, gushers in the floor, etc. - looks like a boat. There are a couple evenings during the week that they have a dive-in movie. They bring a screen out and play a movie pool side. There are several small hot tubs situated in little alcoves around the pool.

Staying onsite gives you access to a separate line for the rides - you bypass the regular line. It is about a 10 minute walk to the parks or there is a boat that you can take.

My children and I would not hesitate to stay at Royal Pacific Resort again. We were of three age groups - a child, two teens and an adult - and we all absolutely loved it.

Our stay at the Royal Pacific Resort was our first time to ever stay on-site at Universal, and we were very pleased with our experience. We decided to stay here for 2 nights to take advantage of the front of the line access that you receive for more +Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure if you stay on site. Our boys loved being able to walk to the front of the line at the attractions, and I think this perk is worth the added expense of the resort.

When we check in, we were pleased to find out that there was a room available with a view of Islands of Adventure. My boys were so excited to be able to wake up and see the Hulk outside the window. The beds were nice and comfortable, and the room was well decorated and nicely laid out. The entire resort is gorgeous. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the staff was very kind and helpful.

Transportation to the parks was also nice. The boat that transports guests to and from the parks was relaxing if not exactly quick. We did try once to take the walking path back from the park and realized the walk is definitely longer than we had hoped. We decided the boat was our best bet especially after a long day at the park for future reference.

This is a beautiful resort, and I would definitely recommend this resort.
