Motel 6 with lipstick - bring earplugs

by meshamoss

I thought I was booking a 4 star hotel, but what I got was closer to a hostel. Came here with my wife to attend a conference and was hoping for a resort like experience, but what I got was a restless night, poor WiFi and a cold shower.

The Lux does not have central ac and windows don’t open. The ac unit in the room sounds like an old Soviet power generator. It’s impossible to fall asleep with it on, so you need to decide to you want me to comfortable or sleep with loud noises. If you wear hearing aids, this hotel is perfect if you don’t have problems with hearing stay away.

The tv sucks, it’s old and bulky, the picture is fuzzy and the remote is bulky.

Hot water is hard to come by if you enjoy showering during peak times. I ended up having to take a Luke warm shower. Something I would expect from motel 6, but not from a 4 star hotel.

The furniture looks nice from far, but far from good. It peels and is uncomfortable.

The only positive is that it’s near staples center and shops.

Perfect for access to Staples Center

I stayed here with my family (2A, 2C) due to the close proximity to the Staples Center. It was a lovely clean and renovated hotel. Valet parking was easy and literally a 1 min walk to staples. There is a tonne of food outlets across the road.
Was noisy after the game with the bars across the road but all noise stopped by midnight.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone who is going to an event at Staples Center.
