Cabins are overpriced and seriously dated

by Michael I

We stayed at a cabin here, which was straight out of the 50's. The sink, oven, and shower were VERY old. Some might find it charming, I found it usable, but not great. Also we brought hammocks with us to use just to get there and be told that no hammocks are allowed. WTF? I can understand those with hammocks that hurt the trees, but hammocks these days have straps that just wrap around the trunk, no damage. The road going into and out of this place is a major washboard pain to drive on. We will not be returning.

Great campground

We stayed for 5 nights. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The lake is beautiful. We had a pretty small spot but it fit our trailer fine. The access road was quite rough and the bugs were insane but if you had a bug zapper you’d be ok. Nice washrooms and showers and the laundry facilities came in very handy. It was a great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone
