Overview

Two pools with kid-friendly features like zero entry and a slide, planned daily activities, water sports and a prime stretch of sandy beach draw families to this 219-unit, 14-story resort, which debuted in 2009. Stilts Bar and Grill serves America lunches and dinners on the Gulf. Open to the general public for nightly rental, the Marriott Vacation Club property lacks some of the amenities of the full-service Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort nearby, like an onsite store, a spa and multiple dining options. However, lavish villas with full kitchens and washers and dryers, plus plenty of space to stretch out make this sophisticated space a top choice for luxury-seeking beach lovers.

Loud noise

by kathy L

If you are looking to relax, this is not the place. They have outdoor speakers for activities and music. The noise is so loud - mid day and evening. Bingo, you can hear them call every card in your room with doors closed. Music- you can sing along even if you are in the beach trying to read a book. Other activities- join right in from wherever you are...far away yiu can hear it all. Bring ear plugs or headphones...better yet stay far away. No other resort on the water has thus much noise.

So so Mariott, kind of tired!

We are Marriott owners who stayed at Crystal Shores in a 2 bedroom unit for a week October 23-30. The units are okay but by far not the nicest we've stayed at. Bathroom tile was stained and dirty looking with a few cracks. Livingroom furniture was worn and uncomfortable. Beds were great as was the patio overlooking the pool area. Biggest patio of any Marriott we've stayed in. It was a fun area to see and we loved the Loop road out of Everglades City, where we saw lots of alligators in the wild. We loved Sanibel and Captiva and particularly The Bubble Room. We ate there twice.
