Sharky's Cantina •Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, MA When we arrived and were told of the 45-minute wait on a random Tuesday night, we pooh-poohed it and went down the street to another restaurant. We ended up having one of the worst meals we've ever eaten and were so hungry we went back to Sharky's -- discovering why it's worth the wait. The menu of tacos, burritos, wings and burgers seems so simple, yet everything is delicious! And 50 items on the menu are advertised at under $10, which is a big deal on the Vineyard. Although the drinks are fantastic for mom and dad, the restaurants are extremely family-friendly and loud -- no one will hear or care about your screaming toddler, if you end up in such a dinner situation. |
The Seafood Shanty 31 Dock Street•Edgartown, MA •508-627-8622 Located on Edgartown's harbor, the Seafood Shanty's second floor deck provides a serene view and a chance to sit outdoors, under the sun. Of course, with a name like the Seafood Shanty, families can expect to find tons of seafood items, from clams and oysters on the half shell to fish and chips to crab cakes and steamed lobster. A children's menu for kids 12 and under is limited to non-seafood items like hot dogs, chicken fingers, burgers and buttered pasta. Don't forget to get their hands stamped on the way out to receive half-priced ice cream at the Quarterdeck, located just out front of the restaurant. |
