Disappointing

by mzTSmith

We booked a week at the MELIA Nassau Beach to much excitement after seeing the pictures. However, upon arrival we were highly disappointed with the rooms and antiquated look of the hotel facilities. The room was dusty, cigarette bud filled (on balcony). Most upsetting was the food and lack of restaurant options on site. The buffet was limited and lacked seasoning/taste, and 2 to 3 (out of 5) would close on a given night. We didn't mind the construction eye sore in areas, because they truly needed it as upgrades. Nightly activities really needed work; however, those on the beach were really fun. The beach and the hospitality of those that worked there made the stay tolerable.

Family trip to the Bahamas

The pool and beach area were very well kept. We stayed at the Level and were very happy that we did. The room and bathroom were basic and small, however, very clean. We had very good servers at the Level Breakfast, namely, Sharela Bowe and Omar. Lakesha at the family pool was also wonderful as was the servers at the Level Beach. We just felt that the entrance to the hotel was very bland and should be updated and bright. Overall, the family had a wonderful time. I think the Black Angus Restaurant should be on the all inclusive and could have had surcharges.
