We stayed at the Marriot CasaMagna in October with 2 boys, 5 and 7 years old.
It was low season so it was not that crowded, some family, some adults, but no drunken young kids. It has children's club with fee, which we didn't use.
All rooms are ocean views, w/ balcony. Beautiful scene from the balcony~~~ My kids just wanted swimming in three different pool. There is JW Marriot Hotel right next to it, so you can use pools from two hotels anytime. At night, we did swimming and when we were getting cold, we jumped into jacuzzi right next to swimming pool.
Even though there is no outdoor playground, kids just play with sand, pick up sea shells... There are REALLY beautiful sea shells on the beach.
There is bus stop in front of hotel, that leads you to downtown. Also AquaWorld is within walking distance, so you can arrange many tours there.
Nice staffs. However, there is really tiny refrigerator in the room so if you want to put your own water, you have to take out some and put it on top of it. Everyday they check the inventory. Also restaurant at the hotel is expensive. Good thing is that there are McDonald's and 7-Eleven across the street, so you can get breakfast and water there.
Oh, the best part was releasing baby turtles at the beach. It was out last night, so we stayed late at the beach. Some hotel staffs was releasing baby turtles, and asked us to join. I was touching moment. I hope my kids felt the same way and remember it...
We are still talking about this trip everyday and Marriot CasaMagna was big part of it.
