We had a great time. My daughter had a great time at the pool. She enjoyed watching the volcano exploding. It was fantastic. We went to see the Love Show. She loved the show. She told me it was the best show she has ever seen in her life! Our more +room was wonderful. We stayed in a newly renovated room. We had a view of the mountains and the roof. We would sit on the bed and look out the window so we didn't see the ugly room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed help finding our room, extra towels, and directions to a local shopping center. Different staff members helped us and everyone had a smile. I appreciated their kindness the most. I would recommend this hotel.

My family (wife, two sons ages 10 and 14, sister-in-law and brother-in-law) took a road trip to the neon lights of Las Vegas for a quick summer trip. We were on our way to enjoy the warm weather, average 105 degrees during the day, as well as take more +in a couple of Cirque du Soleil shows. It was an uneventful four hour drive from Los Angeles to Vegas, but that is a good thing.

We chose the Mirage Hotel since we had booked tickets for the "Love" show (at the Mirage) and Mystere (at the Treasure Island next door). We also decided that since it was Las Vegas in the summertime, a hotel with a family friendly pool was a must since it would keep the kids busy). Check-in was smooth as could be, the front desk representative was courteous and our rooms were available immediately. The only item in question was where to get our water and newspaper that were to be included as part of the "Resort" fee. I was told that the daily two bottles of water were no longer included as part of this $15/day add-on to our daily room bill. I had printed out our room confirmation and was then told since I booked our rooms prior to the change in policy that I could pick up the water (and newspaper) each day at the gift shop...no issues in getting the items per her instructions.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The only issue is that even though there were refrigerators in the rooms, they were packed with the drinks/snacks that were for purchase leaving no room for us to put our own waters/drinks. We simply brought our cooler up from the car and kept adding ice... The boys immediately wanted to go to the pool and it was perfect for them. Although the entire pool, which is very large, is only three and half feet deep, it was great for moving around and relaxing. There were not enough rafts available for lounging in the pool, but the boys went down everyday and enjoyed it big time! Both shows were great...if you like Beatles music, "Love" is a must. It is more about imagery, song, and dance as opposed to individual Cirque acts, but it is an amazing experience. We ate one time at the Mirage's buffet for lunch and it was a "good" dining experience. Check-out was as painless as check-in. The drive back to Los Angeles was also as easy as the drive in. All in all it was a very pleasant short family getaway...
