Lake of the Ozarks Family Friendly Restaurants
Captain's Galley Lake Road •Camdenton, MO •573-873-5227 Take the family out for breakfast, lunch and dinner by boat or car. The lunch and dinner menu features an assortment of child-friendly sandwiches, as well salads, steaks and fish. There's often live music on weekend evenings. Breakfast is equally family-friendly with homemade biscuits and gravy, pancakes or waffles and budget-friendly prices. |
Happy Fisherman Highway 54•Osage Beach, MO •573-348-3311 Three generations of vacationers at the lake have enjoyed the Happy Fisherman, another year-round local favorite. They're known for their catfish, of course, but the children's menu includes non-fishy options. Thereâs a huge soup and salad bar, and the kids get to keep their "happy fisherman" drinking cup as a souvenir. |
Ozark Bar-B-Que 608 Wings Circle•Sunrise Beach, MO •573-374-7769 This is on the west side of the Lake, but wherever you are and if you're craving barbecue, it's worth the trip by land or water. There is a kids' menu that features burgers, grilled cheese and the like, but carnivores in your family will be thrilled with the variety and quality of smoked meats and the mammoth servings of fries, onion rings and cole slaw that are available. |
Stewart's Restaurant 1151 Bagnell Dam Boulevard •Lake Ozark, MO •573-365-2400 This is one of those low-key, year-round places that the locals have appreciated for years. The cinnamon rolls for breakfast can feed the entire family, but they also offer omelets, biscuits and gravy and the works. The lunch and dinner menu includes salads, sandwiches and entrees like fried catfish and Ozark sugar-cured ham. |
Vista Grande Mexican Restaurant 4579 Highway 54•Osage Beach, MO •573-348-1231 The best and most popular Mexican restaurant at the lake, Vista Grande is also family-owned. The Schell family specializes in California-style Mexican cuisine, which is a little milder salsa and easier on the stomach. Of course, there's a kids' menu and the adult margaritas are considered the best at the lake. |
