Hunger Games Exhibit Open in New York

Discovery Times Square museum in New York City has opened its newest exhibit, based on the successful books and movie franchise surrounding “The Hunger Games.”

Centered around the main character, Katniss Everdeen, the exhibit showcases costumes and memorabilia from actress Jennifer Lawrence, as well as artifacts from the film series. An immersive, interactive attraction will give visitors a glimpse of themselves at Katniss using green screen technology. Exhibitions include District 12, featuring the home of the Everdeen’s; Tribute Train, with props and sets from the train; The Capitol, featuring Cinna’s design studio and costumes; the high-tech Making the Games area; District 13; Katniss’ Journey and a Fan Gallery.

The Hunger Games: The Exhibition will run through January 16, 2016. Timed tickets are available daily, Sunday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Special packages are available at area hotels.
