The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida, opened a $7.1-million water park last week featuring water slides and a lazy river. Adding an acre to the existing two-acre pool area creates one of the largest resort poolscapes in Florida.

Three three-story water slides include two speed slides and one inner tube slide that totals 900 feet. The heated lazy river adds more than 1,000 feet and is surrounded by 5,000 plants and trees to create a river oasis. The Hyatt Regency’s existing poolscape remains with a 2,700-square-foot waterfall pool and a 5,000-square-foot Adventure Pool with slide and lagoon-style pool, and an adults-ony swimming pool.

The expanded water park is now open at the 454-room resort located between Naples and Ft. Myers, Florida, along the southwest coast.
