Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken, who penned many beloved Disney soundtracks, including “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin,” returns to Disney to bring new music to the musical adaptation of “Tangled.”

“Tangled: The Musical” will feature three new songs exclusively for the production, which will take place aboard Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic sailings beginning in November 2015. The new show will feature the lively characters of the Rapunzel fairytale, with lyrics written by Academy Award-winner Glenn Slater. The show will feature puppets designed by Michael Curry, the creator of Disney’s award-winning musical, “The Lion King,” including the film’s police horse, Maximus.

The show will be exclusive to Disney Cruise Line and will be performed on every Disney Magic sailing beginning in November, when it sets sail for the Bahamas. The show will continue through 2016.
