The World’s Largest Rubber Duck has been making its way around the world, and this summer it will sail Lake Superior as it joins Tall Ships Duluth.

Taking place in Duluth, Minnesota, the Tall Ships event brings majestic ships from around the globe to the Great Lakes. For the first time, a giant floating rubber duck will join the fun. Created in 2007 by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, the world’s largest rubber duck weighs more than 1,300 pounds and measures 54 feet by 65 feet by 105 feet.

This isn’t the duck’s first visit to the U.S. It debuted in Pittsburgh in 2013, toured Norfolk, Virginia in 2014, and sailed with the Tall Ships in Philadelphia last summer.

Tall Ships Duluth will take place Aug. 18 to 21. Also being held in conjunction is Art-in-the-Park, which will bring more than 150 artists to the Lake Superior waterfront.
