Once upon a time, the largest waterfall in North America was a mecca for honeymooners. But nowadays, foreign tourists and families flock to Niagara, perched on the border of the United States and Canada.
There's been constant debate about which view of this dramatic natural wonder is the best -- the U.S. side, which retains a more wild look and allows you to get closer to the Falls, or the Canadian side, which features manicured gardens and larger perspective on the Falls as a whole. But as long as you have your passports, you can easily check out both perspectives and decide for yourselves.
There are numerous ways to check out the Falls itself -- by helicopter, cable car or boat; from behind, beneath, above or right next to it -- but there's also quite a few fabulous non-Falls family-friendly activities in the area (and that's not even counting exploring the rings of chain restaurants, cheap motels and cheesy tchotchke shops and attractions that encircle the Falls itself). Here's how to find the fun in Niagara.
