We have stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel several times. It is a family favorite. When you go on vacation to Orlando, it tends to be the same Disney/Universal stuff over and over. While those places are great, it can get alittle boring if you go to more +Florida yearly. It is so nice to have a place to stay that allows you to relax, while the kids have a ball. Being on the run at a theme park daily makes you need a vacation from YOUR VACATION.
Nickelodeon has so much to do that you can choose relaxing by the pools (which are top notch), participating in family games (which you can qualify to play a family game for prizes in the studio at night...on stage!. Kids can get slimed....or parents, if you are up for it! The food court is great, reasonable food and even character dining. Nothing says dinnerm than having it with Dora and Diego! Also, the suites are great...pick your favorite cartoon and the room is all in that decor. We've had the Rugrat suite, SpongeBob and Fairly Odd parents. All are wonderful, clean and comfortable. They have kitchens, living rooms and separate bedrooms. Everyone can relax and do what they enjoy. They have alot of specials so you can usually get a deal on the room.

Where do I begin first. The dining facility was sub standard the utensils were bent, the food was petrified and when you complained nothing was done.

The room looked like nothing on the Internet the suite was nothing more than a more +walkin closet. The bed was so soft, it would have been better to sleep on a marsh mellow. Most of the channels on the tv were completely unwatchable.

I brought my family here to celebrate my sons ninth birthday, both he and his sister wanted to get slimed, which is a huge part of why we choose to come but to pay an additional $150.00 for the first child plus an addition $25.00 per additional child is ridiculous. The staff for the most part are completely rude. I would not want my worse enemy to endure this horrible experience that I had.

We went on a cruise and needed one nights accomondation after the cruise as our flight was the next day. We decided on the Nick hotel so we could just stay at the hotel and have enough to do and us parents, kick back and relax a little after the more +fabulous cruise.

The hotel is very large with two pool areas, both are nice. One is bigger with better slides and beach entry pool, but we spent time at both. We were able to find a few out of the way chairs where my husband and myself could be back aways from all the action and still keep an eye on the kids. Our kids are 9 and 11 so they don't need as much supervision as the little ones, but even with little ones, there were chairs very close to the pool.

The kids had such a good time. They loved the pool and all the water slides, and especially the mass sliming. I loved the jaccuzi and the fact that they were adults only. They also had wifi out by the pool and food and beverage service. We went to the food court and bought subway and brought it out to the pool. Got the kids some great smoothies too.

Check in time was 4, but we arrived at noon. They gave us wristbands and a map and took my cell phone number to call us when our room was ready. There were decent changing facilities so we all changed and hit the pool until our room was ready, right around 4.

The room was great. Very comfortable king bed in bedroom with tv. A sofa bed with tv in the living room, full kitchen, bathroom with sink and blow dryer in the bathroom and another sink and blowdryer outside the bathroom.

Room was clean and comfortable. We were close to the main pool and it was a great location. Pool towels were easy to get.

It was very loud and lively so I wouldn't go if you don't do well with that, but it worked out great for us. In the morning we checked out by just phoning the desk and leaving our email address, very simple.

I received a special offer on the Nickelodeon Family Suites on Travelzoo in 2009. They were redoing a slide and were offering awesome rates on their hotel suites in September. We were planning a trip to Disney anyway, so we tried it. The staff more +was very nice letting us check in very early. The rooms were decorated great, with bunk beds in Sponge Bob and other Nickelodeon characters. There was plenty of room for the adults to spread out.

They had amazing pools, slides, play areas, souvenier shops, character meets, character breakfasts, and a movie theater all at the hotel. We didn't have to leave! I would highly recommend this hotel if you have childern (or grandchildren in our cast) that love Nickelodeon.

For the first time after many visits to Disney World in Florida, my family and I stay off the Disney property. On our last visit we stay 7-night at Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel. OMG what a nice hotel for the young and old. Lets start off by more +saying that all the room are suites. This means that every room has a sitting area to watch TV and a small kitchenette. What makes these rooms even more special and awesome was that our kids have their own room and my wife and I had our own.

The Hotel also has a pool that I would love to call a water park. When our kids wanted to stay put after two straight days of going to a park, we spent the whole day at the pool. It was so much fun seeing both my son and daughter participate in all the fun activity the hotel staff does throughout the day. That night our family went to dinner were the hotel has all the nickelodeon characters come around while you eat. This hotel even has shows at night were family can get involved. All I can say is if you are looking for a hotel off the Disney property please look into the best hotel in all of Orlando "The Nickelodeon Family Suite".

Thank you,

Our family stayed at the nick hotel for one night while waiting to go on a 14 night Transatlantic Disney cruise to Spain. The hotel itself was very nice and inviting upon arrival!! The wait time at the front desk was very long and not enjoyable. more +The rooms themselves are beautiful, well maintained, lots of room and everything you would need for a family vacation! The only problem is they are very overpriced in my opinion!!!

The pools are great, lots of fun for the kids! The shows are also lots of fun and there are characters there if you wish to have your pictures taken with them.

We had a great time, but one night was enough for us! We will not return to this hotel again, it is one of those things, been there and done that! The resort charge is also terrible as we didn't use any of there services but had to pay the $25 anyway!!!

In closing I would spend my money on Disney for sure because you can't beat Disney World, the service and the amenities!!!!!

Earlier this year my family and I stayed a night at Nickelodeon Studios Resort. I have to start by saying we got an excellent deal for the price of the room. I hadn't really researched the resort prior to staying there, and I found myself well more +pleased.

First we arrived at the resort way before normal check in time due to our arrival in Orlando, and the registration staff was very accommodating. At first I was told that the room was not yet available, but would be contacted when there was one available....Not even 15 minutes after walking out of the lobby door I received a call that a room was available for us to check in early. Supplied with a map and a daily schedule of events our day began.

There was a arcade and Internet cafe for the kids, 4D movies, at least every 20 minutes( even though if you had purchased unlimited show bands you still had to exit the theater to the outside go around reenter the building, and get in line for the next show, the 4D was a good experience), and live shows for children of every age. There was a dining option for every budget, and room service as well. The pool was a heated pool( Thank God because it was freezing in Florida in first week of March), and there were cool water slides(not heated).

I think my only disappointment was that there was only one mass sliming a day at 4pm :(. Shuttles to the Theme Parks were available throughout the day, and it was conveniently centered around the area of the different parks. I would definitely recommend staying at this resort!!!

This was our 2nd stay at Nick Hotel in Orlando. Everyone loved the room which gave three distinct spaces for everyone in our party to have their own spaces. Mini fridge & microwave were great so we could eat some meals in our rooms saving money. more +Free shows were spectacular and loved by our children! The water parks were unbelievable. We actually didn't leave the hotel two of our five days - our kids choice! They were having too much fun at the water parks and hotels! Yo won't be disappointed if you go here.

We left on April 18 to start our magical vacations where dreams do come true and where Nickelodeon characters come to life our distention Orlando Florida.

We arrived at The Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando at 10:30 pm on Sunday more +April 19th. As I entered the hotels lobby I was given good first impression. It was very clean, very brightly painted with neon colors, and welcoming. The first thing I noticed once checked in was the resorts size. The Nickelodeon has over 700 rooms that vary in size from 1-3 bedrooms suites which all have separate rooms for the parents along with coffee machines, microwave, mini refrigerators and blow dryers. In addition to that the hotel is painted in neon colors with a bigger then life SpongeBob painted on the outside along with Jimmy Neutron, and Dora the Explorer. Check- in did take some time, but it wasn't because of a long line, but because our front desk clerk Jennifer took her time to go over all the resorts futures along with showing you where everything was on the Nick map and how to get to your room from the lobby, and most important the Nickelodeon pools. (Side note in the lobby you will find an ATM, along with a business center with two computers and a printer.)

The big attractions that draw most families to the The Nickelodeon Suites Resort is that it has all your children favorite nicktoon characters. You can't miss them they are painted all over the place, along with cartoon themed rooms, a daily the meet and greet breakfast and a short shuttle ride to Disney World which is provided by the hotel for its guest. Besides that another reason for staying at this resort is the nick pools which are wonderful. They have water slides, a splash pads, jacuzzi, free putt-putt golf, basket ball courts and my personal favorite pool side cabana. (Side note: there are full-time life guards stationed at the pool from open to close) However as much fun as all that sound the biggest draw for staying at the The Nickelodeon Suites Resort is the daily poolside SLIMEING ...

Yes I said SLIME! Everyday at 10:45 am and 4:45 pm your kids get drenched with green slime water. The slimeing itself only takes a few seconds but for the kids standing under the slime bucket chanting 'we want slime... we want slime' its pure magic. What kids doesn't want to go back to school after a vacation and say 'What? You mean you have never been slimed before?' lol..My daughter even after washing her hair a few times still has a slight green tint to it. I told her to try scrubbing a little harder and her reply 'No way mom then know one will know then that I got slimed.' This is truly a wonderful experience for kids. It's great to watch all the tweens and little ones line up under the big slim bucket waiting and wanting to get slimmed. It really is a sight not to be missed. I think the parents enjoy watching their children get slimmed just as much as the kids getting slimed do. I know I enjoyed watching it and I never did miss a pool side slimming. Now you may be saying to yourself this all sounds wonderful, but what's in it for the parents staying at the Nick?

Which brings me to my next topic the parents staying at the Nickelodeon. Whats in it for them? I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this resort not only caters to kids but to the parents as well. Grant it this resort is gear to keep your kids entertained, but there were a few nice surprises that any parent or guardian could take advantage of at the Nick. First of all for those of you who enjoy massages. There is a service that offers pool side massage for fewer than 100.00. I am not one to have a massage , but I did ask a few guest what they thought of their massage, and they all agreed that is was well worth the money, and that they enjoyed it. Also there is a poolside bar where you can have alcohol. The Bar is a full service with your standard well drinks and some top shelf alcohol, along with tropical rum drinks, and beer. Not that every parent wants to sit back and drink all day, but it's still a nice service that if you want to have a cocktail poolside you can. While I was there I never did see anyone person who had one to many at the pool. Seemed to me that anyone who did have a cocktail knew the rules Do Not over do it. ( I don't even think I heard one person swear the whole time I was there.) Along with that there is a kids after dark program which I highly recommend for parents to take advantage of. The after dark program is from 5-11 pm offered Wed-Sun. This is a completely supervised program that consist of dinner, games, going to a 4-D movie, going to a Nick live show, slimming, crafts, and a take home souvenir. There is a charge of 50.00 per child but it is well worth it. My daughters loved it, and as a parent I loved it to. This gave my husband and I a chance to go out to a nice dinner without the kids, and enjoy some much need R&R. We did the Kids after Dark our last night at the Nickelodeon, which worked out great for us because we needed a break from the kids and the kids needed a break from us. LOL...

In closing, I found the Nickelodeon to have pretty much everything a family needs going on vacation in Orlando Fl. The hotel was clean, the rooms where nice size with separate bedrooms for the parents and children. There is the Nickelodeon mall on property which was nice and offered a variety of food choices at a reasonable rate. A long with a bar, arcade 4D theater and a gift shop. The shuttle service to Disney World, and Universal where always on time and offered several different times to leave and return to the hotel. There where however a few minor things that I did find wrong with the hotel. One, being the resort is on the larger side, so there is a lot of walking to get to different areas of the resort and the elevators where extremely slow. ( I opted using the stairs instead of waiting for the elevators.) Two, there is only one entrance to the pool which I found to be a bit of a pain because were my room was, and where you entered the pool was a country mile. Lastly and my biggest complaint was that I was never able to excess my in-room internet service on my laptop the entire week even after a less than stellar attempt from guest services to repair the problem. This in turn lead me to believe that the hotel would rather you use their TV internet service which has a fee. Because of that I can only give an overall rating for the Nickelodeon Suites Resort 3 1/2 stars, but my daughter gives the Nickelodeon 5 +++++ stars.

My Travels Tips.

If you do decide to stay at the Nick hotel I would recommend getting a room on the Third or fourth floor lagoon view over the cabana's. This is the most central location on the resort property.

Pool views are an additional 20.00 a night and worth the extra charge.

Make sure you are 10-15 minutes early for your return shuttles from the parks. They are on time and do not wait for stragglers.

Transportation from the Hotel to downtown Disney World is provided for a fee of 15.00

Make sure you take a day off in between going to the parks to recoup and enjoy the pool.

Buy the unlimited 4-D experiment for 12.99.

I recommend going to Fulton's Crab House located in Downtown Disney great sea food and service

After an AWAESOME Disney vacation my two daughters and husband were looking forward to a night at the Nickelodeon Hotel. The girls just wanted to slide and have fun in the pool and my husband and I just wanted to relax.

We had been more +there twice before when they opened and had a great time, we were looking forward to going back.

When we entered the lobby though we noticed something was not right. The lobby furniture was dirty, not someone had recently slipped something dirty. The light colored furniture was just in desperate need of a cleaning or replacement.

Our concerns deepened when we saw our room; leaky shower head, broken bathroom fan, bathroom sink that did not drain well, and an odor in the room that would not go away even with the ac on high.

The pool was very cloudy and the slime bucket did not operate when cued. It eventually did dump the slime.

When we checked out we asked if the Holiday Inn still owned the Nick and we were told no it is an independent now.

My review don't waste your money the Nick needs some maintenance and cleaning first.

We chose this hotel because my kids adore the characters of Nick. From the minute we arrived it was NICK. The outside of the hotels is brightly painted with characters from Nick on it. We went to check in and were quickly given our room number. Our more +room was perfect. It offered a sitting area and 2 bedrooms, one for Mom and Dad and one with bunk beds and characters painted throughout for the kids. That room also offered a gaming system. They also offered a little kitchenette. The bathroom was nice and clean as well.

The pool was great. It was good for kids of all ages. It offers zero depth. It also has the splash zone for kids with slides, etc. During the day at the pool they have games, etc. put on by the staff. It was a lot of fun.

The restaurant was great. We only ate at the buffet for breakfast. My kids loved the characters walking around. It was a really fun atmosphere.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to all attractions, as well as restaurants, shopping, etc.

Overall, it is a great family hotel. The kids loved it and were occupied so Mom and Dad can get some downtime as well.

Just returned from Nickelodeon Family Suites in Orlando. Went with my 5 year old and 11 year old sons, from the moment they arrived they were happy. The pool area was great and active with lots of activities going on for both age groups. We more +watched movies on a giant screen while swimming in the pool. They had breakfast with SpongeBob and Diego in the restaurant. The rooms were spacious and the boys loved their private SpongeBob suite with their own T.V. and video games. Overall the hotel was a blast and had a great time.

We visited Nick Hotel on Spring Break last year and loved it. We were only there for a full day and wished it was a few more. They have everything imaginable for kids (pre-teen). The rooms are perfect for families and the property is set up so you more +don't have to leave if you don't want to. I would recommend to anyone.

This hotel is conveniently located near all the Orlando attractions, but you do not need to leave the resort to have a blast. All the things you would expect from Nickelodeon are here and can be enjoyed by all. The resort is kind of pricey more +considering that the rooms are cute but not really anything special in terms of comfort, but if you are there to spend time in the room you are in the wrong place. Kids loved it and parents actually got to relax some and just watch them have a blast.
