With almost-perfect weather year-round, it's no wonder Orange County is known for its beaches, surfing and nature-loving, outdoor enthusiasts. Nestled between Los Angeles and San Diego, with 3 million residents (many of whom you've seen on TV), this southern California county also offers well-known theme parks, aquariums, museums, festivals and sporting events. Between the endless beach days and trips to In N Out Burger with the kids, parents will want to find time to escape for wine tastings at the Robert Mondavi Winery and fine dining at restaurants run by celebrity chefs. If you're looking for a casual, relaxing beach vacation along the coast or an upscale adventure, Orange County has both.

Anaheim, with its many amusement parks, will have adrenaline pumping in kids whether on a ride at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure or during the final seconds of a power play at a Ducks game. Huntington Beach, otherwise known as the surfing capital of the country, will have your family riding waves and discovering the history the city through piers, shops and museums, home to stories of the town's first boarders. Laguna Beach's 7-mile coastline is pristine and offers countless festivals, trails and water activities, and the boat and yacht community of Newport Beach will whisk families away for sailing, bicycling along the beach, golfing on some of the greenest courses and luxurious shopping, dining and spa excursions.

Wherever you're headed in the real Orange County, you'll be sure to find warm, endless sun, miles and miles of soft sand dotted with local surfers, and cultural attractions and restaurants set between luxurious family-friendly hotels, all with coastal views unlike any other.

Tip: Guests looking to travel around to the many beaches and regional wilderness parks within Orange County may want to purchase the Combination Pass for Regional, Wilderness and Beach Parks. For just $80, guests will have unlimited parking at all of the parks and beaches, including Yorba Regional Park, Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and Dana Point Harbor. Without a pass, guests can expect to pay $3 per vehicle, per park, Monday through Friday, and $5 per vehicle, per park on Saturdays and Sundays. The pass is valid from January 1 to December 31 of that calendar year.
