The Outrigger Reef is located walking distance from shopping, lots of restaurants, bus and trolley routes, and great views of sunrise over Diamond Head. From our room, we could see the ocean, the city, the mountains, the pool, the water fall from more +the restaurant, and everything. It has 3 awesome restaurants, Live music, karaoke, a Starbucks, and two small markets, plus shops, and you can view the Hilton's fireworks on Fridays.

Roxy, at the Activity Center is very friendly, and very helpful. Highly recommend the no door helicopter ride with Genesis Aviation. Jeff, the pilot was very informative, and no crazy moves in the air. We got great pictures, and video of the whole island. Go to the back of the hotel, get on the sand go right, and for $50 you can get a 1 and 1/2 hour surfing lesson, you can rent Stand Up Paddles and Aquatic bicycles. Pass the surfing rental place there is sidewalk. Great for walking or jogging. There is also a Subway, and a small eating place. Super good prices. $3 for a Breakfast sandwich!!! in Hawaii!!!! The sidewalk takes you to the marina. Go to the front of the hotel, make a right, cross the street. USE the CROSSWALK or you can get a ticket. Get onto Lewers Street, and you will see tons of shops, and restaurants. There is a shopping mall with a Food Court behind P.F. chang's. The Food Court has very reasonable food. Giovanni Pastrami and Sportsbar, serves Free slice of Cheese pizza with every purchase. they also have $5 personal pizzas, and $5 appetizers. Very tasty food. The Yard House, has great prices before 5pm. Take the bus to Diamond head for $2.50 and then $1 to enter the park. The Pearl harbor tour was amazing with the Arizona and the Missouri, there is also the tour of the WW2 Cemetery. You can take the Pink line Trolley to Walmart/ Ross for great prices on Souvenirs. the International market has good prices on Jewelry. Walk around and ask for prices before buying. They will go from $60 to $10 in seconds.

From the beach, in the back of the hotel, you can sit on the lava rocks, and watch the sunrise over Diamond Head. Get there at 7am or right before that. The water in the beach was cold so we didn't get in it, but our nephew got surfing lessons and he was Ok with the water. He turned 14 while we were there, and at the Shore Bird, they sang Happy Birthday to him and gave him free dessert. it was a great vacation. I highly recommend the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. We didn't get to do the Luau because we ran out of time. They do Eukelele lessons, painting lessons, Hula lessons, Hawaian bracelet lessons and Leis lesson free for all the guests. We had a great time there!!!!
