Clear View - Hawaii

I had a business trip to Hawaii and we decided to make a family vacation and stay over for the week. Well, it's really interesting that the pictures online are not always what they are in person, as we found out. First, the price for the resort more +was really expensive and anyone with children planning to visit Hawaii should understand that before they plan.

The Outrigger was dated and the room was not as big or nice as we would have expected for price. There were no kids programs, which meant that we had to be the entertainment committee for our little girl (age 6). The pool was small and crowed most of the time. The beach was crowed as there are so many other hotels using the same beach. There was not a single sea shells for my little one to pick-up on the beach. Later we found out that they are only sold through the varies vendors. Very interesting! The water was not nearly as pretty as the pictures. Frankly, we were looking forward to coming home and found this to be on the bottom of our vacation trips. This resort seems to be geared more toward people who like to drink and party, which we do neither.

The upside is that the staff is really nice and accommodating. Check-in is quick and being able to sign-up for tours is efficient. Get ready, food in Hawaii is expensive and not as delicious of you would think. More than once we ordered pineapple, which was not sweet at home and the rest of the time the food was just so so. But in closing, it's not hard to please children and my daughter enjoyed the beach, but did admit that she liked Florida better. really feel bad about writing this review, but I wish someone was written one before we planned our trip and I would have probably of gone to another island other that Waikiki.
