Paris Family Vacations
Families will love:
  • Museums, museums and more museums
  • The Eiffel Tower
  • Patisseries filled with chocolate delights

Even if you try to resist, Paris will seep into every pore of your body. It's not just the formidable buildings like the Louvre or signature landmarks like the Eiffel Tower that garner your attention. No, it's the joie de vivre, a city and its people passionate about everything they do. Around every corner is another boulangerie, patisserie, fromagerie or chocolatier, who's devoted his or her entire life to that one morsel of food you put into your mouth, and wow, does it show. An artist, following in the footsteps of the great French artists before him, dabbing his paintbrush on the canvas as he takes in the riverboats on the Seine.

By all means, see as much great art as you can, from the Monets and Manets at Musee D'Orsay to "Mona Lisa" at the Louvre to the many Matisse works at the Pompidou. Then climb the stairs up the Eiffel Tower, stroll though the Tuileries, visit the magnificent stained glass windows of the St. Chapelle, and simply walk to nowhere in particular. That's the best way to see Paris and find unexpected surprises like that one caramel eclair you'll dream about back home.
