Poconos Family Friendly Restaurants
Big A Grillehouse 1 Fox Run Lane•East Stroudsburg, PA •570-223-1700 Big A is a huge Italian and American grill house in East Stroudsburg, with excellent fire-grilled steaks and burgers, as well as a variety of pasta dishes and delicious pizza. The atmosphere is fun and kid-friendly, and while there is plenty to please any kid's palate on the regular menu, there is also a kids' menu available. |
Brownie's in the Burg 700 Main Street•Stroudsburg, PA •570-421-2200 Brownie's in Stroudsburg is a great place to take the family for breakfast lunch or dinner -- but breakfast is our favorite because of Brownie's crabby eggs: two eggs with crabmeat and hollandaise on top of an English muffin. Yum! The casual lunch and dinner menu has burgers, wings, salads and great Philly cheesesteaks. The atmosphere is very kid-friendly, and there is a separate kids' menu for those 10 and younger. |
Jubilee Restaurant Route 940 & Miller Dr.•Pocono Pines, PA •570-646-2377 Famous for its great breakfasts, Jubilee calls itself the "Breakfast King of the Poconos," and it serves up more than 35 breakfast options, plus daily specials and a kids' menu. The lunch and dinner menus are equally good, and the "sandwich factory" includes favorites like grilled chicken and steak sandwiches. There are also fun items like fish tacos and a Baja fish grinder. |
Nick's Lake House 110 S Lake Dr.•Lake Harmony, PA •570-722-2500 It's tough to beat the location of Nick's. With beautiful views of Lake Harmony, the restaurant is a great choice for families in any season, but the outdoor deck makes it even better in warm weather. Families will love the variety of seafood dishes, steaks and burgers, as well as great pizzas. A children's menu is also available. |
Shiro Restaurant Route 611•Swiftwater, PA •570-839-2500 Most people don't think Japanese when they think Poconos, but Shiro Restaurant is a great choice because the Hibachi chefs really put on a great show for the kids, complete with juggling and singing. Families will love the atmosphere and grand scale of the place; there is also a game room and a dance club open on weekend nights. Therefore, families who are looking for low-key fun may want to stick to weeknight visits. |
