Amazing views!!

by Ohhon

We are just back 2 weeks from our vacation at Point Pleasant Resort and so ready to go back! The view from our balcony was of beautiful blue water and St. John. Our villa had everything we needed for the week and although the units were close to eachother the balconies were very private. We can't say enough about the staff, they were all so helpful and accommodating and treated you like family.... although the restaurant was closed we ate at the Shoreline Grill several times during the week. The food each time was delicious and we really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and being able to sit right on the shoreline. The resort sits on a hill and we were in the top section. All you need to do is call the desk and they will come pick you up and drive you anywhere on the property. We used one of the 3 pools and enjoyed a walk through the nature trail after dinner one night. Looking for to going back again.

Very pleasant stay

My husband and I stayed here and we really enjoyed ourselves. The cold lemonade with rum, that we received upon arrival, was delicious.

When were arrived, Willie was there to take our bags. He was super friendly and courteous. As he took us to our rooms, he showed us how to get back down to the lobby using the trails. Once we got to the room, he opened the door and showed us how the A/C works as well as opened the sliding doors to the balcony.
I can’t remember the other guy’s name, that drove us to our room after the taxi ride, but he was such a big help. Younger guy with locs.

The view from D28 was spectacular!!!
This unit had everything you’d need to prepare and cook meals. The bed was clean and comfortable. The furniture in the sitting area was comfy and was decorated nicely. Out on the balcony, there were a number of chairs and 2 lounging chairs.

We walked the trails down to the lobby everyday, whether we were being picked up for a tour or taking a taxi out to eat. Scubi was a great taxi driver that took us to Red Hook to eat and when we were ready to return, I called the resort and he came back to pick us us. $5 per person each way.

I hate that Shoreline was closed. Our decision to stay here was somewhat based off of this restaurant being open. We did eat at Mirador for dinner on the first night. So, eating here once was enough for me. ($126 for dinner for the 2 of us)

I enjoyed hearing the roosters each morning and seeing the huge iguanas!

Even though we were here during Tropical Storm Karen, we still had an amazing time. We were told to get water and snacks in case the power went out. I think we overshot it. So whom ever will be staying in this unit behind us has about 12-15 bottles of water & 1 or 2 cokes in the fridge.

I must say that the mosquitos are terrible here!!! Luckily our unit had a couple of cans of off, but I was still bitten.

My friend and her husband stayed in D4 and they had sand flies in their bed! She was bitten so badly and they told her at front desk that the sheets had not been changed. So check your beds before getting in it.
