Worn out hotel at great location

by anna_dyds

We stayed here for 5 nights in November and only reson that we didnt leave was due to location and we was also part of a big group. The hotel is really worn out, rooms are smelly, AC is loud, doors are basically made of paper so you are constantly disturbed by music and outdoor party people. The staff are very helpful but that doesnt fully compensate.. No breakfast available and no gym but renovations were started on top floor. The location is perfect, right at the beach and good bars and shops close. If you can afford it I would recomment the hotel next door; Hampton Inn instead.

Dirty, grubby, shabby in need of a renovation

by CaycuP

The hotel is run-down and shabby. The rooms are large and a decent size, but the level of cleanliness is low, and the staff are clearly unhappy (I overheard several complaining about how many rooms they had to clean on that particular day).

Two of the reasons I chose this hotel (they had direct access to the beach, and they had parking) are two of the reasons I will never return. We were made to pay for the use of the hotels sun loungers on the beach, and the parking was not free, it was an additional cost which was never explained when booking.

Upon arrival, we were given a "street view" room which had a noisy A/C unity right below our room. When I asked to change, the receptionist offered a sea view room for a small additional price. I was definitely happier with the sea-view room.

Location-wise, it's in one of our favourite parts of Clearwater, close to restaurants, on the beach and close to the bridge that takes you south of Clearwater. But given how old and rundown this hotel is, we will definitely not be returning to this establishment.
