So much fun

by AnnM10

We drove by and decided to check out the restaurant. So glad we did! Such a fun place and the food was great. The store was adorable, there is a petting zoo and other things to explore. I wish I had known about the motel before I booked my other one but will definitely check it out the next time we stay in the area

Trip to Strasburg PA Railroad sites

by Susan M

This is a great place to stay for railroad buffs. The motel rooms are cabooses that have been refurbished. It is an experience worth doing. Having said that, the caboose we stayed in was the Honeymoon Caboose, and had a large bed and a whirlpool tub. Also an adequate bathroom. Very clean. However, because it was small, there were limitations. For instance, no side tables beside the bed, as there wasn't room. No closet or even a hook to hang clothes on anywhere, or a bureau. So it was a bit like camping, and we lived out of our suitcases while there for two days. Probably would stay in a motel next time if we went back. The restaurant is very good, and is in refurbished train cars, so again, a train buff experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on-site. Very handy and good food. Fun to watch the Amish buggies go by on the road while we were eating breakfast. The Amish buggy rides are on-site, as well as a petting zoo, and a "viewing silo" to climb and see the Amish countryside around. The Strasburg train goes by the property, and especially for children, it is an experience.
