Fourteen miles northeast of Moab, the Red Cliffs Lodge is set right next to red-rock cliffs that rise dramatically from the Colorado River. This one of the area's only full-service resorts, with an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, as well as the Castle Creek Winery and the Moab Movie Museum (many famous westerns have been filmed in the Moab area). The grounds are expansive, with horseback riding and hiking trails accessible from the lodge, plus an exercise room, tennis courts and pool. Mini suites feature a separate kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. One- and two-bedroom freestanding cabins are available; pets are welcome in some rooms.
