Top notch

by vacationgalcalgary

I stayed at the renaissance Fort Lauderdale cruise port before my cruise. I generally stay the the embassy suites because it’s close to the wine store, Publix etc. I get tired of the nasty attitude they have and the hotel that is in need of repairs. What a breath of fresh air everyone is at the renaissance. The hotel is very nice and every employee I dealt with was so friendly and helpful. This is my new go to hotel. Staying here after my cruise and I’m looking forward to it. Very happy with this hotel. I didn’t eat here so I can’t speak to that. I love joes cafe in the harbour shops. It’s tasty and cheap. Thank you renaissance.

Overbooked and booted us

Although we booked months in advance ther hotel was overbooked and we were booted. It happens, but the staff was not very professional in how they handled the situation and the accommodations they made for weary trsvelers. It looked nice in the lobby, but I'd avoid staying there in the future.
